My brother.. the bicycle cop???

(sorry Coby.. heh)

My brother Coby is a police officer for Ball State university up in Muncie. Now, I'm as proud as can be that he has landed a gig like that, and for those of you who knew him growing up you know why we're so proud. Let's just say his autobiography would be entitled something like "From the principal's office to the squad car".

But I'm proud of him. Now, I'll also note that I will probable never look at a cop the same way again after hearing some of his stories. Not a lack of respect for officers, mind you, but they are all a bit more human now.

Recently, Coby volunteered to take a night shift... on a bicycle.. My opinion is that this is a hidden psychological exam that he is going to fail if he enjoys this setup too much, but hey to each their own. :)

He's the one on the left:

Taking a police gig on a college campus, night shift, on a bike.. He's going to have some good stories to tell I'm sure.

For those of you who know Coby, he has a blog on Blogger but it is not publicly viewable to avoid spammers and such. He's open to adding people who he knows so if you are interested let me know and I'll pass your email along to him.

Keep the campus safe, Coby!

HEHEHE!!!
I too am very proud of my son the "cop". I know he loves his job bike or no so I am happy for him. I watch more cop shows now. And I pray alot harder for his safety. But bottom line is that I know he is smart and fit and well trained to do his job and that the Lord is looking out for him so I don't fret much. I have to admit I was thrown by the bike at night thing but he seems to be doing very well at it. So here's to Coby!!!

Thanks Corey. I believe that I have landed a job where I truly never have to work a day in my life. I enjoy every minute of it. I can't wait until you get the time to come and ride along to experience it with me. My father In-Law rode along last weekend for a few hours. I think he had a good time.
I did restrict my blog so that I can be more open in it and not worry about somebody posting my views in the local paper. {those of us who live in glass houses have to be careful when we walk in the nude} so to speak.

hmm, but still not as good as Eric Estradda from "Chips"

^^

Coby, I love ya, but I laughed my butt off when I read this. The cop thing itself didn't seem like such a stretch, but the bicycle? Let's face it, the pavement in front of your parents' home is evidence of the fact that all of you boys (Marty included) enjoy vehicles that are more horsepower than man power.

At any rate I have to second Chase on this one (although at least Ponch got to ride a motorcycle.) Funny!

I met Estrada, that guy is a creep. And I just bought a motorcycle so maybe someday I would get to ride one as I work.
